Pastel mohair baby hat with bow

This little hat is sooooooo soft and soooooooo warm!  I knitted it with a mohair and acrylic yarn mixed together so it's extra thick.  The bow as a darling snowman button on it.   It's a perfect hat for that special little girl keeping her warm and cozy during the cold winter months!

Vanilla cupcake anyone???

This one is knitted with a beautiful boucle cotton/acrylic mix yarn.   The strawberry I made out of felt and the sprinkles are little pearl beads I sewed on top of the hat.   Makes for an adorable OOAK baby gift, perfect for a baby shower you need to go too!

Red and white striped elf hat perfect for the upcoming holidays!

It certainly doesn't feel like fall today but pretty soon the colder days will be upon us ... and I can't wait for that to get here!  I'm not a big fan of the Virginia summers so I'm looking forward to fall and winter weather.  So to celebrate the upcoming cooler weather here is a little cheery hat I made and just listed in my Etsy shop.  I'll be taking it to the Archwood Green barns farmers market in The Plains tomorrow so if you're interested in getting it better do it now as I don't make most of my items more then once.  I do get bored pretty quickly making the same stuff so I'm constantly making new things.  I never follow any written patterns, I always do "my own thing" as I get bored following instructions and end up making up the pattern as I move along.

Anyways, here is the little hat I just listed.  It will make for a cute holiday photo prop for that little on in the family!

A little bright hat to cheer you up!

Yeah, finished another little hat which I had knitted before my surgery ... just needed to add some bobbles.  I figured with having to get my shoulder fixed I wouldn't be able to knit for a bit so I knitted and crocheted a bunch of items ahead of time and left the finishing touches for doing after the surgery.  I must say ... this is working out very well.  I am able to knit a little bit at a time right now, it's been two weeks since the surgery.  And yeahhhhh, I can type using both my hands now.  Still have to take it easy.  I can tell this healing is going to take a long time.

Anyways, here is the little bright apple green hat I just listed in my shop.  I'm working on finishing up another one which is for a smaller baby, more like a newborn to 3 month old.  That one is a dark moss green and will have off white crocheted buttons on it with red thread in the middle.  Not sure yet what will be on the top, either a tassel or something else.

This little hat has been sold

More litte hearts and a baby hat and booties that make you smile!

I just can't stop making these little crocheted hearts. They are the perfect thing to work on during my lunch break at work so you'll be seeing more of them. I've decided to try working my way through my stash of yarn this year without buying more! Kind of a challenge I must say as I love buying yarn. This little hat and booties used up less then one big skein I still had laying around which is a good start I think. Here is the link to get to the hearts in my shop: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93588759/heart-shaped-tin-with-pink-crocheted  .Baby hat with booties are now listed in my shop so hop on over to see more pictures by clicking this link: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93670288/knitted-and-crocheted-multi-color-baby.

White and red baby christmas hat and a country treasury

I love the combination of white and red for Christmas items. I just finished knitting this little baby Christmas hat http://www.etsy.com/listing/83290932/cream-and-red-baby-christmas-hat . It's a cream colored yarn with a bright red knitted in acrylic yarns so it can be tossed in the washing machine for easy care.

Also made another treasury this morning and I named it "Hugs from the country". Enjoy your day everybody. It's going to be another gorgeous one here in Virginia! Yeahhh!

Knitted Green baby hat with itty bitty pumpkins

I was going to make another Christmas hat but then I thought adding green itty bitty pumpkins to this hat would look cute for Halloween and/or THanksgiving.  So here it is.  What do you think of it?  I just listed it in my BitsOfFiber shop so if you like to see more photos please visit my shop by clicking on this link.  http://www.etsy.com/listing/81015055/knitted-green-hat-with-baby-pumpkins

Eggplant baby hat

I've made a couple of new baby hats this past month but haven't had the chance to take pictures of all of them except of this one eggplant baby hat which I'll be listing in my http://www.etsy.com/shop/BitsOfFiber shop later today. The other hats are Christmas tree hats with bobbles but you'll have to wait for those until this darn weather clears up so I can take pictures. I'm back at work now during the day making signs at Wegmans so I can only take photos of my creations when I get home after work and so far it's been raining or has rained which means I can't take pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to take them in the next couple of days so I can list all the new hats as well as the needle felted items I've made.

A peachy kinda hat!

Well I wasn't sure how this little hat was going to turn out. I always get going with a certain picture in my head and by the time I'm halfway through it ... the picture has changed ... and sometimes I have no idea if whatever I'm working on will still work out looking anyway decent. Originally I was going to rip some fabric into strips and use them to weave through the middle section of this little hat and also to make a topper of some kind but that didn't work out unless I was going to zigzag all those strips and I really didn't feel like doing that. So I went digging in my piles of yarn and found this ribbon yarn that could work better ... and it did. Here is my latest little baby hat I put into my shop today so go check it out to have a closer look.

Knitted striped toddler pixie hat - Redskins colors

Well I'm definitely not a football fan so it wasn't until my daughter asked why I was knitting a Redskins baby hat? Something looked familiar to me when I picked out those colors of yarn when I was in New York a couple weeks ago and needed to start another project as I forgot to bring one from home! It finally came to me the other day that it was the same colors I had used for the Redskins sign I had made at work a while back. Anyway, even if you're not a fan ... I think the colors go very well together ... it's a burgundy with a gold/deep mustard. So here it is. I just listed it in my BitsOfFiber shop on Etsy so if you're interested go visit my shop. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Pumpkin Season not too far away!

I figured I better get a head start this year on knitting some pumpkin beanies. So here is one I just finished and listed in my BitsofFiber shop on Artfire.com.

Be on the look out for a couple more felted critters in the next week or so!

Kinda crazy around the house these days ... trying to fix the guest bathroom before my visitors from Belgium show up the middle of August but we keep running into problems which keeps delaying getting things fixed up. We took out the tile and the subfloor but discovered that we might have to remove the sink and the cabinet since it was built on top of the darn tile! Grr, kinda frustrating since we hadn't planned on taking that all apart. My hubby is going to try to saw the tile along the cabinet so we won't have to move it .... not so sure if it will work ... well it might work ... just a bit worried as to how it will look like when he gets done with it! :0)
