Happy New Year! 2012 ... A new beginning

I'm so ready to get this 2011 year behind me ... just too many sad and frustrating times I've had. I'm definitely ready for a new beginning, a fresh start with lots of exciting and fun times to look forward too. I lost my best friend to breast cancer and my dad to lung cancer this year, I miss them dearly and having to let go of two people that close to you isn't an easy task. But, every day is a new beginning, every day brings me something to look forward too. If it wasn't for the rest of my family, friends and my arts and crafts this would have been much harder to deal with. I'm thankful for being who I am and especially thankful for the gift I have to be able to create and share it with all of you. Wishing you a wonderful 2012 ... a new beginning, a new promise of exciting things to come. Enjoy!

OMG - Chocolate heaven!

I love chocolate! Not sure if being from Belgium has anything to do with it (I doubt it!) so I couldn't help myself and made this treasury. Some pretty amazing chocolate artists out there I must say. Check out that cake decorated with vintage buttons! It's all edible! They have some other amazing items in their shop, an entire vintage necklace you can eat. Now I must say, even being a choclaholic I don't know if I could eat that since it's just so pretty! A colorful Critter Onion housing a needle felted hamster

So here is my latest little hamster I needle felted out of merino sheep's fleece and alpaca fleece. It's meant to be a toy for a child older then 5 yrs old. I put her up for sale in my BitsOfFiber shop. I have some more Critter Onions that I will be putting up for sale but I have to make some little animals to go along with them. I might put up one without any animal in it since some kids are allergic to wool. The Critter Onions are made of 100% cotton and can be used for all kinds of play fun for younger kids.
